Ottawa at Sunset

It’s fun to experiment with styles and filters. I was satisfied with my original exposure and composition for this image — I used a tripod to expose longer and really let the sensor soak in the warm tones of the building at sunset. But I wanted to try something new, so I added some grain to see how retro I could make it.

I don’t shoot with a tripod much, so when I do have it handy, it’s fun to stop and compose a nice shot like this, even if it takes a few more minutes to get home from the grocery store. This is shot from a store parking lot in Ottawa, Kansas. The peach-colored rays of light reaching into the dark blue sky only lasted for a minute or two, so I had to work fast.

Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a hard time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
